London property prices 'starting to settle down'

It has been suggested that prices of apartments for sale in Cockfosters and other areas of
London are now beginning to settle down.
In the opinion of Alex Thompson, director at the Winkworth Notting
Hill office, there has been "a bit of fizz in the market" and he is
surprised at the speed with which prices have recovered.
He also believes that there are unlikely to be any major changes or
movements as the market is now beginning to settle down, which is
partly the result of increasing confidence among buyers.
Mr Thompson continues: "Also, [there is] the lack of stock, which
has underpinned everything. There has been so little out there that
you have got these people chasing very few properties."
Earlier this week, Primelocation.com revealed that in September,
prices for properties in central London rose by 2.03 per
cent.
This represents the third consecutive monthly increase.
